Tuesday, January 01, 2007
Robinho wants to make 2008 even better by helping Real Madrid to retain the Spanish title and win the Champions League.
"I know exactly what I want to happen in 2008. I just want to win the Champions League as it is the only major honour that I have not won," he explained.
"I am happy with the way 2007 has gone. It has been a good year.
"I have won various trophies and I am pleased with the way that I have played. I won the league with Real Madrid at the end of a difficult season and that was the best way.
"Then I went to play for the national team in the Copa América. We were not considered to be the favourites and we played some great football.
"I won the Copa América and I finished as the top goalscorer in the competition. So, things have not gone too badly as I have won two trophies and one personal award."
"We ended the year with great success. We won at Barcelona and we managed to create a gap of seven points. We are in great form," he continued.
"In 2008 we have to continue in the same way and that will allow us to go on an win the league. I hope we can also win the Champions League.
"I am enjoying life in Spain and I am playing for the best team in the world. I am entertaining people and I want to continue to grow and become one of the best players in the world."
