Van der Vaart cool on Real talk

Rafael van der Vaart has distanced himself from reports saying he has agreed to join Real Madrid on a long-term deal.
Reports in the Spanish press claim that the Holland international will put pen-to-paper with the Spanish giants this summer, after new HSV coach Martin Jol revealed he would allow his midfielder to move on if a top team came in with a big offer.
But free kick specialist Van der Vaart, about to start pre-season training with his Bundesliga side, has expressed his surprise with the links to Los Merengues.
"Gosh! I have read about it and now have to get a bit more information," he told the Bild.
"I don't want to say any more about it at the time being."
Former Tottenham chief Jol declared at the start of July that: “If a club like Barcelona, Real Madrid or Internazionale come in, then I cannot say he is staying.”
