Baptista wants Roma move

Julio Baptista is desperate to try and leave Real Madrid this summer to join Italian club Roma.
The 27-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot at the Bernabeu since his arrival from Sevilla in the summer of 2005, spending the 2006-07 season on loan at Arsenal.
Now he is keen to take up an opportunity to try his luck in Serie A, but his agent has warned that a deal could be hard to complete.
Baptista's representative, Herminio Menendez, told the Corriere dello Sport: "Julio is not happy with the situation at Real Madrid.
"He's a Brazil international and he's looking for a team which will play him in every game.
"Roma are a prestigious club who play in the Champions League. Everyone aspires to be in that position.
"But it's not just down to the player, it depends on the club. I don't know if Roma can pay what Real are asking for the player." |
