Pellegrini praises Kaka
Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini was pleased with the contribution from Kaka after his introduction at half-time guided Real Madrid to a 3-0 win over Tenerife at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Blancos looked below-par in the first half but after the former AC Milan maestro's introduction, he imposed his influence on the match and also got his name on the scoresheet.

Karim Benzema had earlier notched a crucial double, and Pellegrini was quick to admit that influence of Kaka.

He said, "It is not a mystery that Kaka changes the way that the side plays. We tried to remove him from the side because we have Champions League fixture in midweek, but we did not play well in the first half.

However we played far better in the second period, we created space and had good chances. I am pleased with the win."

Pellegrini also admitted that he was happy with the current form of the players, but that his side will eventually lose, and that he is already looking forward to some of the bigger fixtures in the campaign.

He commented in the post match press conference, "Eventually, we will lose. We will see how the side responds against some of our stronger rivals."
