Carlos Diogo (born July 18 , 1983 in Montevideo ) is an Uruguayan football player, who currently plays for Real Madrid in La Liga.
He was previously with River Plate of Uruguay (1999-03), Peñarol (2003-04), and River Plate of Argentina (2004-05).
He was born in 1983 (on the18th of July), at 14 years old he tried out for River Plate of Uruguay, where he made his debut in the First Category. The next year he went to play to at Peñarol, "a team he always supported", he remembers Cafú and Javier Zanetti. But at the beginning of 2005, his career took a u-turn: recommended by Enzo Francéscoli, one of the best Uruguayan players ever and idol of a young Zinedine Zidane, he was sold to River Plate of Argentina, where he became quickly one of the players lauded by the fans. "Like his father, Diogo is a player who is greatly gifted technically in the position he plays.
