Diego López Rodríguez (born November 3 , 1981) is a player with the Spanish football club Real Madrid , who plays as a goalkeeper. He is a graduate of Real's youth system. He is the second-choice keeper at the club for the 2005/06 season.

The Lugo-born Diego was still waiting to make his first-team debut at the Santiago Bernabéu at the start of the 2004/05 season. He is only six months younger than Casillas, who has already won two UEFA Champions League medals, and has proved understandably difficult to dislodge.
